The Tabernacle Experience

The Tabernacle Experience offers visitors a chance to walk through a life-size model of the ancient Tabernacle described in the book of Exodus. With symbolic furnishings, interactive exhibits, and youth/young adult-led tours, the event connects scripture, community, and sacred space in a tangible way.

This is an opportunity for San Diego families and faith communities to walk through scripture in a way they’ll never forget.  The purpose is to better understand the power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and feel God's love.  

The Tabernacle Experience will be open to the public June 8–15 at the Zion building of the San Diego East Stake on the church owned softball field.

Event features include:

Walk-through of the life-size Tabernacle replica

Altar, laver, Holy Place, and Holy of Holies displays

Visitor Information Center and Children’s Corner

Youth and Young adult volunteers trained as official tour guides

Local choirs and an interfaith panel discussion

About the Tabernacle Experience

The Tabernacle Experience is a nationally touring, nonprofit exhibit that recreates the biblical Tabernacle described in Exodus. The exhibit has visited dozens of cities across the United States and is hosted in San Diego by local volunteers and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The event is designed to educate, inspire, and foster meaningful community engagement across faith traditions.
